You can't make an omelet without breaking the eggs, too bad for Harvard, everything they do is subject to government defunding. In other words, Ivy League Universities have plenty of money to fund research and should NOT depend on the government to fund anything. They should go fund themselves....lol...to coin a phrase. The rest of the show I agree with. Good show. Thank you.
If there is one thing that drug companies love, it is MONEY. While the Administration cancelled a number of medical-related grants, I wonder how many of them were duplicative of what the private industry or other universities were doing? Once the research universities realize that grants will not be coming from the government, they may go to/partner with the drug companies who are willing to fund studies and trials for immense future profits. Successful drug profits will be very high for medical cures that impact many people around the world.
