Andrew Gillum — the former mayor of Tallahassee, who lost a close race to Ron DeSantis for governor of Florida — did two things that were quite rare in today’s criminal justice world: He proceeded to a trial on federal criminal charges; and he won.
Tallahassee is roughly two-thirds Democrat to one-third Republican. That's the jury pool. A prominent Democrat can't be convicted in Tallahassee for the same reason a prominent Republican can't be acquitted in Washington, D.C.
I agree the government's unlimited resources to harass people with the legal system is scary, but in this case it seemed like the FBI caught him red handed with his hand in the cookie jar using under cover agents...
And THAT'S why they jury's response should be respected. In our limited view of the facts maybe it "seems like" that, but after a long and detailed look at the facts, the jury decided that it "seems like" something non-criminal. That deliberation by our fellow citizens should be respected, and the accused allowed his vindication.

If Big Guy told him to jump out the window he would do immediately. Breaking and subverting the law is what these folks are about; opening our border to 7 million illegal criminal aliens, still giving student loans when the Supreme Court told them not to do so, stealing a Presidential election by weaponizing the FBI and CIA to control social media, and dragging us into an potential nuclear war in the Ukraine. Their philosophy is if we can not do it legally, we will do it illegally. I have a very simple solution to the problem at hand: just move these two agencies outside the Beltway; FBI to Crane, North Dakota and the Injustice Department HQ to Farmington, New Mexico. Once that is done through the
appropriation process, these gangsters will flee, like rats from a sinking ship. Keep up the good work.
