They should have chosen running mates from swing states that have enough electoral votes to win the election when all their most safe swing states are counted. Most safe states are NC and GA for Trump, PA and MI for Kamala. Trump should have gotten someone from PA and Kamala someone from NC. Neither candidate can afford to let electoral votes slip away and there should have been a zealous focus on 270.
