After WW II during which Hitler killed 6 million Jews, the civilized world said, "Never Again". After 9/11/01 when the Muslim terrorists killed 3,000 Americans, we said, "Never Again". After Oct. 7, 2023 when Muslim terrorists massacred Jews in Israel, Israel said, "Never Again". But the current U.S. president is actually supporting Israel's enemies and our enemies to strike again, to destroy Israel, the United States, and Western civilization. Elect Donald Trump.

Yes, the US has broken its promise to Israel. Heartbreaking for both Jews and non-Jews to admit that this administration does not have the backs of its ally. But there it is in plain view before us. There remains one route to selvage the Alliance, but so many Democrats refuse to leave a party that has thrown Israel and Jewish voters to the wolves of Hamas. Normally, such betrayal would send droves of voters to the exit. I cannot understand the clinging to a party who displays such disregard for the safety of all Jews or supporting a party foolishly trying to use diplomacy to appease a terrorist government motivated by hate. All of the support and advocacy from sensible Americans to our Jewish citizens seems hopeless as long as they continue to vote for a party who ignores them.

What alliance? Where is it written? What does Israel do strategically for the USA? Israel is the never do well kid that refuses to move out of the house way past adulthood and take care of itself. Yet headstrong as possible, refuses to follow advice or orders from the billpayer. And the never do well is a bigot, thinks only of himself, and thinks he is too important to be concerned with people dissimilar. If he has a sense of religion, he wants a theocracy like those on the West Bank settlements. The USA has made no promise to israel, which deserves none. Imagine Roosevelt, a very different man, arming the Germans to fend off its neighbors in WW2. The only si milarity between Israel and the USA is that historical part of the pre-Civil rights Act South, with George Wallace being the role model for Netanhyahu. Israel treats its non.Jews like Hitler treated Jews. Herding them all into concentrated areas and then killing. People with primary loyalty to a foreign nation like Israel ought to be forced to live in the country to which they are primarily loyal.. Like Julius Rosenberg, these people primarily loyal to a foreign nation need to be watched, to see if they are doing harm to the USA, perhaps like Jonathan Pollard or Jeffrey Epstein did.

Israel is a greater priority for the federal government and both parties than the United States.

The U.S. is being invaded by aliens, public safety and services have collapsed, and the country is being looted by cartels and politicians.

Dershowitz surely recognizes this, yet he claims Israel doesn’t get enough support from our country.

Perhaps he should review what Mr. Wiesel said about Alexander Solzhenitsyn- an “authentic hero,” according to the renowned Holocaust survivor.

Every word here rings true. Particularly a reminder of the masterful insight by Prof.Dershowitz, which he offered many years ago already that anti-Israel sentiment can be explained by Israel being the Jew amongst the nations. But the truth is, we still don't really know why Jews are hated. Israel has been singled out, attacked, blamed, condemned, demonized way out of proportion to the rest of the world, since its creation. But the visceral violent murderous universal rage expressed now has no precedent.

It's anthropological. Which begs the question, why now, why to that extent, what has been the bane of the world in the past few decades that caused it to reach such combustion. Which makes the fact that Israel was voted second in the popular vote,an outstanding result, by an audience of 170 million worldwide at the Eurovision song contest ,just very few weeks ago ,totally unexpected. How to understand the abject rejection next to the exuberant acceptance?

Unfortunately you are 100% correct. I never thought I would ever see so much anti-Israel sentiment in my lifetime. It's like as if we have been propelled back in time to 1930s Nazi Germany.

A total inversion of reality. Why are there no more Jews left in Arab nations while Arabs constitute 20% of Israel? It is the Arabs in the role of the Aryans, they ethnically cleansed their nations of Jews and others for that matter. In fact they were allied with hitler.

Retractions of a civil case have nothing to do with criminsl guilt for violation of pedophilia laws. those laws are meant to protect the most vulnerable part of lour population, growing statutorily defined underage children. This is the group Dershowitz is accused of egregiously violasting, in the Jsne Doe 3 document serially, at least six different times in interstste locations with either ski n to skin physical penetration of the children or use of rubber toys. According to State criminal law, there is no application of the Ststute of Limitations. Dershowitz is free and you are among those giving him a public forum and a life of influence because he has used his previous infuence, the money he got from Epstein, his celwebrity to get away with onde of the worst crimes that is statutorily forbidden. Yes, there are people out to get Dershowitz, but the important ones, the prosecutors have been intimidated by threats at least to theier careers. The originial US DA for the Southern district of Florida claimed that the intimidation was unbearable. So, Maryanne, this question is for you to answer: did Dershowitz get a free bite at the apple in the Garden of Eden? Does he get to have sexual pleaseure as alleged with yoiung legally protected children snd then get away unpunished simply because he knows what Jeffrey Epstein knew aboit importasnt people, he kis connected to people who can investigsate the prosecutors and deter them, he is a celebrity? Is De4rshowitz so important that he is ABOVE THE LAW, he is like Nietsche BEYOND GOOD AND EViL? Here's why Europe is far more likely to be destroyed than Israel. The islamic invasion underway is rapidly transforming the continent while European politicians and seemingly most of the population are completely cowed. The Israelis have what the Europeans never could, which is a very strong sense of purpose, confidence, courage and certainty in the righteousness of their cause, hope in the future and a very strong sense of family and community. Israeli women have an average of 3 children. Europeans are not having children and their population is being replaced with muslims. Wait until they have enough numbers and in the not-so-distant future muslims will be calling native Europeans “occupiers” of islamic land. The Israelis strength, courage, confidence and the iron will to fight for their land and people are in stark contrast to the surrender mentality of Europe.

Blame only Israel, its Apartheid system and the intensive dehumanizing of non-Jews by Jews for incentivizing the repitition of future attacks on Israelis. 75 years of constant atrocities with impunity against people of other religions and ethnic allegiance, Israel has asked for retribution. When America finally wakes up, closes down AIPAC bribery of elected officials,, and decides not to arm and fund the genociders, then perhaps the Israeli Jews will at last be willing to negotiate in good faith a way for non-Jews in the area of Greater Israel to have a future with some dignity, It should not be too much to demand that Israel gives to its oppressed population what America gave to its in 1964. equal rights, equal justice , termination of ethnic discrimination, and ending the constant George Floyd type killings of unarmed alestinians that has gone on unrestrained for 75 years.

Simply because human rights are not limited by whataboutism, Human Rights are universal snd inalienable (see UN HR Declaration.. It is underscored that your israel emphasizes not only its "democracy", but that it is a "Western" Democracy and furthermore "the most moral nation wirth the most moral army in the world." (Netanyahu) . Everyone of those descriptions is untrue, and at least two of them are egregious falsehoods. At most, Israel is a democracy for Jews, though Mizrahis, Falashas, and Sephardics, not to mention the Ultraorthodox, argue that Israel is merely a secular Ashkenazi democracy. If you understand Hebrew, listen to what they complain of. Up to the fifties, Western democracies were connected to ethnic and racial discriminatioin, supported by laws in place. Israel fit in then, But in the ensuing 70 years, Western democracies have evolved enormously with universal human rights, equal rights, equal access to justice, termination of segregatioin and ghettoes,.. AND ISRAEL HAS NOT EVOLVED AT ALL. In 2018 it got worse. Israeli Jews in the Knesset enacted the "Nation-State Law", stating that Israel was exclusively a Jewish state" giving special rights to Jews relative to natives, removing even Arabic , the language of the natives as an official language such that they would no longer understand court proceedings aimed at expropriating their land, unless they learned the language of their oppressors fluently.

And with the removal of Arabs' rights to be free from the threat of genocide/domicide, Israel proves any moraltiy it shows is limited ethnocentrically to its Jewish population. The few existant polls indicate 80% of israelis support the current genocide. That is BTW abourt the percentage of Germans that supported Hitler in early 1942 So Israelis are human just like the Aryans were. Presumably the same Israeli 80% will support annexing Greater Israel and disposing of its native majority populatiion, either thru American supplied bombs, starvtion or forced exile.

An incredible letter written by a non-Jewish Scottish professor to his students who voted to boycott Israel

It's a response from Dr. Denis MacEoin to the motion put forward by The Edinburgh Student's Association to boycott all things Israeli, in which they claim Israel is under an apartheid regime.

Denis is an expert in Middle Eastern affairs and was a senior editor of the Middle East Quarterly. Here's his letter to the students.

TO: The Committee Edinburgh University Student Association.

May I be permitted to say a few words to members of the EUSA? I am an Edinburgh graduate (MA 1975) who studied Persian, Arabic and Islamic History in Buccleuch Place under William Montgomery Watt and Laurence Elwell Sutton, two of Britain 's great Middle East experts in their day. I later went on to do a PhD at Cambridge and to teach Arabic and Islamic Studies at Newcastle University . Naturally, I am the author of several books and hundreds of articles in this field. I say all that to show that I am well informed in Middle Eastern affairs and that, for that reason, I am shocked and disheartened by the EUSA motion and vote.

I am shocked for a simple reason: there is not and has never been a system of apartheid in Israel .

That is not my opinion, that is fact that can be tested against reality by any Edinburgh student, should he or she choose to visit Israel to see for themselves. Let me spell this out, since I have the impression that those members of EUSA who voted for this motion are absolutely clueless in matters concerning Israel, and that they are, in all likelihood, the victims of extremely biased propaganda coming from the anti-Israel lobby.

Being anti-Israel is not in itself objectionable. But I'm not talking about ordinary criticism of Israel . I'm speaking of a hatred that

permits itself no boundaries in the lies and myths it pours out. Thus, Israel is repeatedly referred to as a "Nazi" state. In what sense is

this true, even as a metaphor? Where are the Israeli concentration camps? The einzatsgruppen? The SS? The Nuremberg Laws? The Final Solution? None of these things nor anything remotely resembling them exists in Israel , precisely because the Jews, more than anyone on earth, understand what Nazism stood for.

It is claimed that there has been an Israeli Holocaust in Gaza (or elsewhere). Where? When? No honest historian would treat that claim with anything but the contempt it deserves. But calling Jews Nazis and saying they have committed a Holocaust is as basic a way to subvert historical fact as anything I can think of.

Likewise apartheid. For apartheid to exist, there would have to be a situation that closely resembled how things were in South Africa under the apartheid regime. Unfortunately for those who believe this, a weekend in any part of Israel would be enough to show how ridiculous the claim is.

That a body of university students actually fell for this and voted on it is a sad comment on the state of modern education. The most obvious focus for apartheid would be the country's 20% Arab population. Under Israeli law, Arab Israelis have exactly the same rights as Jews or anyone else; Muslims have the same rights as Jews or Christians; Baha'is, severely persecuted in Iran, flourish in Israel, where they have their world center; Ahmadi Muslims, severely persecuted in Pakistan and elsewhere, are kept safe by Israel; the holy places of all religions are protected under a specific Israeli law. Arabs form 20% of the university population (an exact echo of their percentage in the general population).

In Iran , the Bahai's (the largest religious minority) are forbidden to study in any university or to run their own universities: why

aren't your members boycotting Iran ? Arabs in Israel can go anywhere they want, unlike blacks in apartheid South Africa . They use public transport, they eat in restaurants, they go to swimming pools, they use libraries, they go to cinemas alongside Jews - something no blacks were able to do in South Africa .

Israeli hospitals not only treat Jews and Arabs, they also treat Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank.

On the same wards, in the same operating theatres.

In Israel , women have the same rights as men: there is no gender apartheid.

Gay men and women face no restrictions, and Palestinian gays often escape into Israel, knowing they may be killed at home.

It seems bizarre to me that LGBT groups call for a boycott of Israel and say nothing about countries like Iran , where gay men are hanged or stoned to death. That illustrates a mindset that beggars belief.

Intelligent students thinking it's better to be silent about regimes that kill gay people, but good to condemn the only country in the

Middle East that rescues and protects gay people. Is that supposed to be a sick joke?

University is supposed to be about learning to use your brain, to think rationally, to examine evidence, to reach conclusions based on solid evidence, to compare sources, to weigh up one view against one or more others. If the best Edinburgh can now produce are students who have no idea how to do any of these things, then the future is bleak.

I do not object to well-documented criticism of Israel . I do object when supposedly intelligent people single the Jewish state out above states that are horrific in their treatment of their populations. We are going through the biggest upheaval in the Middle East since the 7th and 8th centuries, and it's clear that Arabs and Iranians are rebelling against terrifying regimes that fight back by killing their own citizens.

Israeli citizens, Jews and Arabs alike, do not rebel (though they are free to protest). Yet Edinburgh students mount no demonstrations and call for no boycotts against Libya , Bahrain , Saudi Arabia , Yemen , and Iran . They prefer to make false accusations against one of the world's freest countries, the only country in the Middle East that has taken in Darfur refugees, the only country in the Middle East that gives refuge to gay men and women, the only country in the Middle East that

protects the Bahai's.... Need I go on?

The imbalance is perceptible, and it sheds no credit on anyone who voted for this boycott. I ask you to show some common sense. Get information from the Israeli embassy. Ask for some speakers. Listen to more than one side.

Do not make your minds up until you have given a fair hearing to both parties. You have a duty to your students, and

that is to protect them from one-sided argument.

They are not at university to be propagandized. And they are certainly not there to be tricked into anti-Semitism by punishing one country among all the countries of the world, which happens to be the only Jewish state. If there had been a single Jewish state in the 1930's (which, sadly, there was not), don't you think Adolf Hitler would have decided to boycott it?

Your generation has a duty to ensure that the perennial racism of anti-Semitism never sets down roots among you. Today, however, there are clear signs that it has done so and is putting down more. You have a chance to avert a very great evil, simply by using reason and a sense of fair play. Please tell me that this makes sense. I have given you some of the evidence.

It's up to you to find out more.

Yours sincerely,

Denis MacEoin

A starting point: The cited argument from Mr MacEoin was wriiten in 2011, published that year in the Jewish Chronical and republished in the Jewish press last January. MacEoin died in the summer of 2022 of Covid. So his article does not cover the genocide in Gaza, the revelations of systematic gross torture in Israeli prisons, particularly at Sede Teiman, the forced herding of non-Jews from one site to another in Gaza with efforts to drive them into Sinai, and revelations about enforced segregation by the Jewish National Fund controlling 94% of the land in Israel. MacEoin's article is limited to the Issue of Israel being an Apartheid state. This comment will therefore be similarly limited.

A second starting point. is the "Natiion-State Law" enacted by the Knesset in 2018., also well after MacEoin's article was written. This law mandates Jewish supremacy politically, socially, economically and of course militarily. Israel is to be meant exclusively for Jews. Jews have special rights which the native indigenous non-Jews do not have. Jews can live anywhere and can carry weapons everywhere. Palestinian movements are extremely restricted. Jewish settlements have special, separate legal codes. The progressive dispossession of the Palestinians resembles that of colonial Rhodesia or Tasmania or MacEoin's own birthplace of Northern Ireland. Israeli Jews have special privildges connected to municipal investments and water rights. Jewish supremacy is codified in a racist legal system. Imagine similar laws in the USA prohibiting Jews from buying or leasing land or residing outside Jewish areas in the USA.

Furthermore, since MacEoin's article was written 13 years ago, a host of specialist NGOs have concluded that Israel is an Apartheid state. Apartheid is a crime under International Humanitarian Law, which Israel has ratified but not enforced. The NGOs condemning Israeli Apartheid include Israeli NGOs Yesh Din, B'Tselem and Ha Moked, as well as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International. It of course includes the ultimate specialist in Apartheid practices, the ANC (African National Congress of South Africa). Of course UN investigators have excoriated Israeli Apartheid practice.

Reference is further made to an exhaustively researched article in New Yorker March 21 2024 on systematic torture of Palestinians in Israeli prisons.

94% of the residential area of Israel is segregated land. It is under control of the para-state Jewish National Fund via the ILA, That 94% is reserved exclusively for Jews. This land may not be sold or leased to non-Jews.

Apartheid's definition as an institutionalized regime using systematic oppression- - - including segregation, forced dispossession and population transfer, disparity in availability of ability to exercise basic human rights of a group- - - to maintain the regime is found in relevant UN conventions.
