The solution is obvious: Hamas could send the humanitarian disaster in an hour if it released the hostages, abandoned terrorism, recognized Israel's right to exist, and committed itself to negotiating a two-state solution or other peaceful resolution of the Palestinian question. . And, if the UN really cared about the Gazans, it would demand that Hamas do exactly that and stop encouraging Hamas by demonizing Israel.

I see NO resolution in this post. Is like saying the UN can turn the sky pink instead of blue . totally impossible like saying the UN can make a snake fly.

That’s why Israel must persist until it defeats Hamas.

I recall Jenin in 2002. For months Palestinian Ministry of Truth was screaming about 10,000 civilian deaths. Perez has been coming back with no more than 100.

Then some of the bodies dug out from under the rubble have been identified as 10-15 years old cadavers. The numbers began slow move down. 7,000, then 5,000, then 3,000. Perez insisted on no more than 100.

When after months of the propaganda the real numbers came out, how many paid attention, cared?

Care to guess the final numbers?

……. Drum roll ….. Drum roll …..

56 of which 47 - terrorists, and only 9 civilians.

Palestinian propaganda’s 10,000 vs 9 in reality

"There is often no sharp line between combatants and civilians when it comes to Hamas terrorists and their facilitators"

I would go further. The Gazans have elected a genocidal political party (Hamas) to lead them. All polling indicates that (before Oct 7) Hamas would still win an election held in Gaza. Mahmoud Abbas has refused to call election in the West Bank for 17 years; he knows he would lose to Hamas. President Biden has said several times “Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people” or “the vast majority of Palestinians are not Hamas” or some variant of this. This is simply projection, a belief that other people must see the world the same way you do. In the case of the Palestinians, all evidence indicates it is 100% false.

Western liberals (with their belief in blank-slate-ism and human perfectibility) are deeply resistant to acknowledging that some people and some philosophies are simply evil. They can not be reformed; they (and their proponents) must be destroyed. We had no problem acting on that belief when facing the Nazis (anyone remember Dresden or Tokyo?). Do the Jews believe in their country enough to do what's necessary in the face if the new Islamo-Nazi-ism? I'm not sure. Are they serious about "never again", or not?

Absent those who are very young (whose deaths and harm should be avoided as much as possible), there are no civilians in Gaza.

And a big deal is made of this election being 20 years ago. The point is that Arab Gaza is the kind of society that produces this kind of government. It is a backward society where no one can trust anyone but a blood relative and then only so far. It is a primitive society that produces bloodthirsty governments whether there are elections or no.

Alan as I said many times now and no one is listening and that is; " The reason why we are in this mess, is because BORACK OBAMA IS GOVERNING THE WHITE HOUSE ". Like a silent snake that crawls in the dirt quietly, Obama is the back bone of decision making in Washington. The democratic / communist party is not really protecting Biden, they are protecting Obama and this democratic / communist party will do anything to maintain power, even if they give away their own nation to China or starve the U S from food. They have become an enemy to the state. The Democratic Party I used to know, no longer exist . We must all accept this fact.

Everything you say is true, but you will neither convince the postmodernist left, the majority of academy, nor their social justice foot soldiers.

As the gangster attorney general for New York so elegantly stated: "you are too male, too pale, and too stale".

Let's say that again: "too male, too pale, too stale"

In the binary world of oppressed and oppressor, that means your opinion doesn't matter. Your logic is a disease that is oppressing everyone else.

Objective truth is now my truth.

Don't agree?

Then you must be reeducated for the common good.

As you know Professor, Dersh's Dems are mostly supporting the Hamasses. Your traitor that you voted for, Obama on national TV said that the Israeli morality is as disgusting as the Hamasses.

The only party calling for the evacuation of Gaza civilians from combat areas is Israel. Of the U.N., the Arab nations, and the protesters claiming to be “pro-Palestinian”, none are calling for evacuations of civilians. They apparently believe doing so would hasten the demise of Hamas, whose fate is sealed anyway. Even Secretary of State Blinken avoids the word “evacuation” for some reason.

Professor, once again you nail it on the head however, Why do you think Biden is easing oil export sanctions on Iran who then funnels millions into Hamas/Hezbollah? You must admit that if Trump were President he would NOT be allowing Iran to skirt sanctions and fund Hamas! As long as Iran can sell oil on the open market, they will continue to fight Israel. The world public opinion will eventually turn towards the Palestinians and Hamas!

I see so much footage of combat in Gaza. I see nothing (and have seen nothing for months) of combat in Ukraine. Is there anything going on in Ukraine? Also, why did Hamas build miles of tunnels but not bomb shelters for the Palestinians?

Not that I expect this happening, because left is left is left.

Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Hamas, Hezbollah, Podemus - all are twin-siblings.

Just look how leftist ruling coalition of Spain under the leadership of PODEMOS justifies and advocates for their brethren in arms Hamas.

Yet, all non-leftist community, including real Liberals must unify in demanding that Hamas lets ALL civilians evacuate. UN can take responsibility in administering and ensuring full evacuation of civilians.

Hamas fighters should be given opportunity to put down arms and surrender.

For as long as Hamas remains, No money or other resources should go to Gaza directly because Hamas leadership appropriates. Just see the wealth of billionaire Hamas leaders. NGO should distribute food and necessities in safe areas outside of Gaza city, where civilians should evacuate.

Responsibility of every civilian death must be put squarely on Hamas with all the repercussions.

Again, I do not expect this happening because of extreme corruption.
