Sometimes some identifiable individuals of a particular group choose to act routinely and characteristically in a manner intuitively perceived as being immoral or illegal. These individuals do not constitute anywhere near most of the group, but may in some cases find suppport from as many as most of the group's members. These individuals are in practice easily identifiable as a subset within the group because of their high profile prominence with wealth/money/influence and their efforts to influence government policy towards goals said to benefit the group.. Jeffrey Epstein and Robert Maxwell are obvious examples, politically hard core zionists mired in comprehensive webs of immorality and illegality. Messrs. Netanyahu. and Gallant are two more, inciting IDF soldiers to overreaching action to thereby endanger Palestinians' rights to protection from genocide.

When AIPAC funding results in H.Res. 894 becoming law with its IHRA (a pro-Israeli Lobby) drastically expanded definition of "anti-semitism" to cover dissent to Israeli Government genocide, nuanced wordsmithing will be required to even have a chance of avoiding the new law's prohibition of funding to targeted college campuses. There are now two ways for the American government to react to ongoing genocide. One is to send Secretary Blinken on weekly visits to Jerusalem ,where he in his own words arrives "as a Jew, not as an American Secretary of State" and gets to wait hours in a waiting room before getting physically dominated by Mr Netanyahu. The other is simply to brake campus dissent in the election year by stopping funding to colleges allowing dissent.

A good book to read is A Lethal Obsession - Antisemitism from Antiquity to the Global Jihad, by Robert Wistrich.

I was a student at Columbia in the 1960's, when it was about 60% Jewish. Apparently it's now 60% Nazis and Muslim terrorist allies. We had outstanding professors, not the bigoted political hacks of today. I wouldn't send my dog to Columbia.

Mr. Dershowitz, why not write a book about the Jews that hated Judaism throughout our history. "Jewish Anti-Semitism" ...A history of Jewish self-hatred. ?

I agree with your discussion. These are unprecedented and difficult times. I never thought in my life I would ever see such rampant and open anti-semitism. My grandfather born in 1883 retired in 1942, and when he was selling his big house in a nice area of Montreal, the neighbours ran up a petition to try to keep him from selling the house to a jewish couple. Of course he sold it to them anyway. Antisemitism was not just in America but in Canada as well. My mom, in the 1940s worked many years for the Steinberg Family at the head office of their grocery empire. We always had a jewish doctor, and as a child I was gravely ill, our doctor, Dr. Moritz saved my life. I remember seeing as a child, on his arm, a camp number tattoo. I never saw a tattoo before so I asked him what it was, and he said it's nothing, forget about it....I own him my life. I have always supported the jewish people and Israel, brought up that way.

If the Biden administration wins in 2024 election, the jewish community in the United States will loose the protection that the United States has provided . It hasn't been perfect, but still the United States and Israel has been a safe haven for the Jewish people . The Jewish people will be in great danger and no one to protect them . This administration, as I have told my dear jewish friends, that Obama and Biden and the rest of the Obama's disciples , truly hate the Jewish people and yet no one saw this and now look . In the words of Newt Gingrich , " The only one that can save the United States , is Trump.

You are doing a very good job in explaining with visual effects exactly what anti-Semitism is. Perhaps with more understanding, the people will think more seriously about the libelous history of anti-Semitism. Thank you.

This Dershow theme is a version of a supporting amicus for House Resolution 894, expanding consequences of subjectively determined and more expansively defined "antisemitism" to include penalties aimed at stopping campus dissent to official Israeli Governmental actions plausibly endangering Palestinians' right to be free from genocide.

The House Bill which has passed overwelmingly was sponsored bt Rep. Kathy Manning (D-NC) who has received USD 216,000 so far for this election cycle thru AIPAC, according to the "Open Secrets" election watchdog. Her Senate collaborator is Sen. Jacky Rosen (D.Nev) who has received more than USD 1 million since January 2023 through AIPAC. AIPAC funding to American elected public officials is normally funneled through its member or employees in order to avoid a legal requirement for AIPAC to register as a foreign agent (FARA).

When H.Res. 894 becomes law, it will be applicable to any dissent to Israeli Government's domestic policies and actions, given that Government's characterisitically obvious Apartheid structure and motivation. Where protest within the scope of the expanded IHRA definition of antisemitism is "determined" subjectively, federal funds to that campus are required to be curtailed.

It’s possible that my generation, the Boomers were more exposed to the horrors of The Shoah from a young age and have devoured much more of anti antisemitism’s history in trying to understand its peculiar evil. And it never stops. There is always more literature to consume, one more inhumanity to learn of. I only learned this year about the disgusting blood libel, either in your book or Dennis Prager’s. I remember not everyone’s parents knew enough to educate their children about what happened to the people whose photos we saw. I was called a Jew lover when Jewish jokes were told and I didn’t laugh. Shalom and thank you for your persistence!
