Does anyone actually believe that if someone else were accused of paying hush money to avoid a sex scandal in the manner that Mr. Trump is suspected of doing, he would be prosecuted? When I was coming of age in the 1950s Southern prosecutors would target civil rights workers and search for any possible violation of the law, no matter how technical. If they discovered or invented a violation, they would indict, prosecute, convict and sentence the target.
I appreciate your fairness, and get that you want to demonstrate your fairness by volunteering that you are "politically opposed" to Trump. Do u think u will win brownie points by the left who are destroying our democracy & spit on our constitution? You weren't "politically opposed" to Trump when he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, right? Or that he recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. How are u "opposed" to Trump? You prefer the Biden economy?😆 Open Borders? Deals w/Iran? Crime? Targeted prosecutions? Why aren't you publicly opposed to Biden?! He & the Dems are destroying the country & the world! You KNOW that! So admit that the world was better & safer under Trump and F the libs who will never accept you anymore. Instead of just Leo (Terrell) 2.0, be Alan 2.0! Always a fair liberal, but a traditional constitutional CONSERVATIVE as well.
I completely agree. It is very easy to see that the Democratic Party is doing everything possible to keep him from running. He has quite a bit of fortitude to stand up to all of the attacks not only now but throughout his presidency.
Dr. Dersh, I'm thankful for your reasoned and civil approach to these areas of disagreement. I wish others would follow your example and engage in reasoned discussion on issues where differences of opinion exist. TY for your excellent postings.
" if someone else were accused of paying hush money to avoid a sex scandal in the manner that Mr. Trump is suspected of doing, he would be prosecuted?"
YES. First John Edwards not only "would be" prosecuted but WAS prosecuted for a similar crime. Secondly, Hillary Clinton certainly would have been prosecuted during the Trump administration had she committed that or any comparable crime. I'm disappointed Mr. Dershowitz didn't at least pay lip service to these comparable situations given I'm sure he is well aware of them. It's like he's advocating as if Mr. Trump were his client.

It's especially rich when Geraldo is so happy to keep reminding us of Hunter's technical legal innocence re the latter's alleged influence-peddling...
