Lawfare -- the politicization and corruption of law enforcement -- should be punished severely.
When Pres. Trump says "they're not coming for me, they're coming for you" it's not just self-serving hyperbole. Lawyers representing 2nd Amendment concerns were punished for their successful 2A defense in 2022:

As Clement and Murphy wrote:
"The Constitution is the foundation of American liberty, but it isn’t self-executing. It depends on lawyers who are willing to take on controversial matters and on judges who are able to hear the best possible arguments from both sides."
What was done to Trump MUST be exposed and consequences meted out. It is an attack on all of our constitutional rights, freedom, liberty. Either we ensure that those who are in a position of trust with our legal system are not only made accountable, but they must be subjected to enhanced penalties, as are any who violate their positions of trust, like elder care workers who abuse their patients, teachers who abuse their students, police who abuse their power. This happened. Was bragged about. They believed they were above the law. Now the law must show that they are not:
