Hamas has no incentive to neither release hostages, nor do they have any reason to do anything other than being Hamas.

I felt in my heart that it was a matter of time before Biden would yield to Obamaism foreign policy

How much more do you need to state you are changing your Biden vote??

I support everything you say, but you are still implying that Biden is your guy and will get your vote. Why not be a model for other Democrat voting American Jews?

There are strategic and tactical benefits in remaining Biden voter.

Let professor do what he does. He does not need our advice how to do his job.

—Agree the professor does not need our advice. Maybe he could use a prayer or two, thanks to the ignorant, amoral, or immoral loons who support Hamas.

Dershowitz will never change from voting Democrat no matter what - even if Biden sells arms and gives money to Iran and votes against Israel at the UN and fights with Netanyahu publicly etc. etc. rather than supporting our ally in the Middle East. He is obsessed with abortion rights and gun control - not foreign policy even if it impacts him as a Jew and Jews generally as well as democracy.

Liberalism believes giving a belligerent more to lose means they will become “rational” and eventually accept western values. Unfortunately, the State Department’s stale and failed policies based on liberalism may never work with jihadists. Jihadists (e.g., Shiite Iran; Sunni Hamas) by definition cannot become “rational” and accept peace with Israel.

I have been saying, seems, forever: history is written NOT by victors, but by those who write. We have no idea about the real history of Chile, why the army, just like Egyptian in 2012, had no choice but to move in to save Chile from the murderous Allende’s regime. We know precisely the opposite.

Now Amazon provides the platform for the Hamas terrorist leader or whoever wrote for him:

I don't agree that these young people supporting hamas are "naive" and "misinformed". They are morally depraved and evil. As for that "aid" group, the head of it is a highly politicized left-wing hack. He exploited the hurricane in Puerto Rico to attack Trump. He is not an innocent and good person.

Your favorite epithets are back, Laura. I try to imagine yoiu as a nice, welcoming, pleasant person..."morally depraved", "misinformed" actually do not go well together since the latter is an excuse for the former. But you did put them in separate sentences. The"politicalicized left-wing hack " is, as our sainted but demented president would say, "over the top".. The Catholic Church will probably canonize that Spaniard for his humanitarian activities. I wonder if you with your preference for epithets rather than reason and fact actually do anything humanitarian? Did you even get upset reading about Cody Roberts torturing that wolf pup in a bar in Wyoming? Or do you confine your engagement to Israeli right.wing politics? What do you think of a person who is accused of serial rape of underage children, yet has avoided indictment because he is a celebrity and arranges million dollar settlements to keep evidence from getting public? Could that be a new forum for your epithets Would it be a problem for you if that man were an agnostic Jew?

All Hamas has to do it release the hostages and surrender, and it will be over in minutes. The fact that they don't, tell you they have no intention of doing so and want to perpetuate the conflict. As you correctly pointed out many times, Hamas is winning the war of public opinion by using human shields. Like someone once said, when your house is on fire, you don't put out 75% of the fire. Hamas has to be completely eradicated, that is the only way going forward. Let Israel ignore the naysayers and move on, finish the job.

—Don’t disagree, though I think that Israel must rely solely on its first hand knowledge and experience—on the critical importance of defending itself—and not on what the waffling Biden Administration advises.

Step back and you will see that we are dealing with an organized crime syndicate masquerading as the Democratic Party. They are simply Satanic and it is time to eliminate them and their allies from the face of Western Civilization. If we do not we will all perish. There is no room for compromise, no room for negotiation. They have crossed our Rubicon and here is only one way to deal with them and tha tis their complete elimination. You think that extreme, then wait of November and you wilt l witness electoral fraud on a scale that that dwarfs 2020. We write about his at ispeakfortrump com.

Looks like a losing case, doesn't it Alan? Biden is dumping you two.. If buddy Netanyahu pushes the IDF into Rafah, it will be his very last hurrah. No more dinners with him then. People who have relevant knowledge seek Jon Stewart, not you, for analysis. You are of course never open to persuasion, but Stewart's program on Monday was a masterpiece. Hell being 85, is it not. You had a long run, Avoiding indictment in America for your decade plus Epstein involvement surprised and of course disappointed me. But America has become like you. Money, power, influence and pugnaciousness (that's a word, right?) are the goals and determine result. There is an enormous silver lining in your defeat. With the rejection of you and buddy Bibi, israel will be free to evolve, just as America and Northern Ireland evolved in the past 60 years, hopefully in the direction of equal rights for all, dismantling of the quasi-theocracy and the apartheid structures,,and a fundamental change in Israeli behaviour in line with the Rules Based Order. So, Alan, as Bob Dylan said "get out of the way" and take Bibi with you. He can get asylum in Marthas Vineyard. people there will leave you alone. In fact, they shun you, don't they? So it would be nice to have Bibi living with you, sharing your life. Bye.

This is a false narrative. Hamas started this war precisely to cause as many civilian deaths as possible, to make Israel look bad and generate maximum attention and sympathy for their cause, which they have succeeded at. Hamas has already won the PR war. Hamas can do damage to Israel, but it does not have the capacity to be an existential threat. How many more civilian deaths are you willing to accept in order to eliminate Hamas? Besides which, Netanyahu enabled Hamas, knowing exactly what the were and what their goals were, cynically playing them off against the PA. Then Netanyahu failed to to defend Israel, and now he wants the US to provide unquestioning support in money and US credibility, while continuing to act in ways that will only exacerbate longterm hostilities and risk dragging the US into another war. I am not against the US helping Israel to defend itself, within reason, but Netanyahu and his far-right coalition need to go.
