My condolences on the loss of this great man, dedicated scholar and wonderful storyteller.

Dershowitz Family Saga: A Century and a Half of Jewish Life in Poland, Through America, and into Israel is a book filled with interesting tales of an immigrant Jewish couple and their descendants.

If you have wondered what were the family traits (hard work, respect for parents, becoming

self-sufficient at a young age, marrying at a young age, helping one's younger siblings and cousins,

serious self-confidence, respect for others, and a great sense of humor, to name a few) influenced a boy to become the most accomplished lawyer and law professor in the nation, it is worth reading this delightful book, written just a few years ago by Zecharia Dor-Shav, may his memory be a blessing.

Your uncle symbolizes the spiritual legacy of those who founded the state of Israel against all odds. These are reflected in your own unfailing, vigorous efforts to fight for the survival of Israel, despite all the pervasive domestic left wing Democrat anti semitism, and the jihadist attacks of militant Islamists.

Although I vehemently disagreed with his interpretation of the right of the state to 'plunge a needle' into my arm during the plandemic, I appreciated reading this loving (liberal and tolerant) respectful story about his Uncle.

I recall listening to Zacky davening for the amud at a galitziana shtiebel on Pesach in Williamsburg.

His talents reached far beyond his educational credits and achievements. His Nusach and voice for davening was a pleasure to listen to.

May his children, who only recently lost their mother, find true consolation among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Alan, what a beautiful tribute to your Uncle Zach, a professor, Talmudic scholar, patriarch, and Mensch. He made his family and his people very proud. He cast a long shadow and so have you, Alan. Baruch Dyan Emet.

Sir, I read your whole treatise with laughter. He was a “card” as Americans might say. How interesting that he was so diverse in his views. The story of PM Netanyahu is priceless. Thank you for sharing your personal story. BTW, I have some of your books and the last three are remarkable. The last one makes me cry for the way Jewish brethren are being maligned all over the world. God bless you! Shalom!
