They need a functioning 2nd amendment. The “RIGHT” to self defense of themselves and others. An armed people are a free people. Just think if the Jews in 1933 had Mausers, Lugers ammunition and bayonets. They could have resisted. The same in Israel and anywhere that you have totalitarianism and brutality.

I agree and you are 100% correct! No cease-fire. Hamas must be defeated unconditionally.

"Recall that the best thing that ever happened to the German and Japanese people was the total defeat and unconditional surrender of their armies, which came about only after hundreds of thousands of their civilians were killed by bombings of densely populated cities."

Worth repeating and remembering every day.

The best guarantee of lasting peace is the knowledge that Hezbollah leaders look at Gaza today and understand that with one wrong move on their part, Beirut and south Lebanon will look exactly the same.

Take heart The Almighty is always on the side of good and right! Otherwise there would be no hope, and our national anthem "HaTikvah" is a statement of fact not only for Israel but for all people and especially the oppressed and maligned !

How does that word translate to English? Thanks.

You say: "“From the river to the sea, Palestinian must be free,” does not mean two states. It means one Muslim caliphate with no Jews. So do most of the other demands."

Of course, this is true.

But herein lies the problem. Ten year old palestinians will remember that you bombed their house, that their brother or sister, or uncle or Aunt were considered "collateral damage", and they will plot their revenge.

A new organization will form: named Ramas, Lamas, Bamas, or some other crazy and creative name, and it will have one singular objective: the total destruction of Israel.

Radical Islam will regroup, rearm, and redeploy in the name of Allah. Every expensive, million dollar, bomb you drop, and every Israeli soldier that dies, weakens you economically, physically and emotionally.

The "terrorists" only have to keep instigating, keep prodding, keep trolling, until you are bankrupt physically and intellectually. And then, my friend, it's game, set, match. Then, you are running for your life, once again, a common theme in Jewish history.

Did we not learn from the collapse of Rome? How about from Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam?

Invasions will not bring you a two state solution; it will not win friends in the middleeast, or among palestinians who you want -- who you need -- to accept the two state resolution, nor will it stop future terrorism, or make Israel safer.

The better approach, I believe, is to defend the border, focus on economic growth, on increasing the standard of living for Israeli citizens, and above all, the goal should be to leave the palestinian people alone. No financial aid. No investment. No financing. No work visas. No travel to Israel, etc, etc.

Let Palestine live in their bubble, like North Korea, and eventually Hamas will fall out of favor.

Not so. Not as long as the deep pockets of the Iranian Mullahs the assassins behind this terror are allowed to prosper. They are the real tyrants of malignant terror!

Abiding by the International Laws of War is sufficient to reduce collateral damage while enabling the victim of transgression to retaliate. The house that was bombed would have to be a reasonable target militarily to be bombed. The enemy hiding in the house with military weapons would make it a target. A boy with his aunts would not. The theory is a hopeful one, but abolishing the enemy from your territory will serve the principle of justice. Retaliation is a necessary evil.

The terrorists will run out of ammunition, money and people long before Israel does, as long as the IDF response is as effective and lethal as the Allied response in WW2. The change in tone in Germany and Japan after 1945 is impossible to miss.

I doubt they’ll run out of much because there are about 2 billion Muslims and 16 million Jews. I’ve never seen the hatred towards Jews that I’m seeing now. Frightening

Au Contraire - in part: I agree that some new Islamist terror group will re-spawn from the splatters of Hamas, even if the legend of the current beat-down takes on biblical proportions in the psyche of the survivors. The Twitter War, however, may produce some unintended consequences...

We know from some basic marketing education that complainers have the loudest voices - in the disinformation battle-space surrounding this tussle, the losing side is pumping out the most propaganda, by both volume, vitriol, and certainly by greatest absurdity. This, in turn leads to amplified but also localized rabble-rousing - utterly irrelevant to the shape of events in the actual war-zone, but also not unnoticed by the pro-Israel diaspora. Many of these are successful and influential people - they have the means to bug out, and if they can no longer count on their current state's political classes to tamp down the Islamofascist voices in their current neighborhood, they may decide, by the millions, that only in Israel can they be safe and free to live as they choose.

More settlements. More high-quality human capital. More direct investment. Instead of being bankrupted by the constant egg-throwing, they are reinforced and galvanized as a result of it.

The Arab states with money in the bank support Israel - it is a useful foil to distract their populations from the rampant inequality and authoritarianism they live with everyday. And I don't think any of them have forgotten that Israel has 90 nuclear warheads that they ADMIT TO - Dimona has produced enough fuel for 300-400 weapons, and I would be shocked if they hadn't actually assembled them. Israel has nuclear-tipped ICBM's, nuclear-tipped sub-launched cruise- and ballistic missiles (a second-strike capability). If the hordes every managed to make it across the river and were driving toward the sea, things would take a very dramatic turn...

I think people who call for war should immediately go to the front lines. That should be written in the constitution. Please put on your helmet dershowitz, and tell Putin, Biden, and the steroid user Zelensky to join you. You can go swing your big ***** at each other, while the rest of us live in peace and quiet.

Leftists only know the present - they have no knowledge of the rise and fall of empires.

Religion has been overwhelmingly beneficial to mankind. It places LIMITS on primitive, barbaric behavior. Look at the late era of the Roman Empire - anything goes! They thought they would go on forever.

Talk to a Southerner who never went to college, who absorbed all the stories of the Bible. He knows far more about ancient history than the graduate of an elite college.
