Sir, I think I understand your points on the political ramifications, but I question the violation of the constitution where it writes about the onslaught of invasion. Mayorkas is “ just following orders” (think Viet Nam issues), but he has to follow the precepts of the constitution keeping the US a sovereign land. No borders equals a vague land mass. We must maintain a strong border and Mayorkas has failed in his duty.

It's quite interesting that he sits on the board of an NGO that assists in helping illegal immigrants travel from the Darien Gap to the United States border, and then he makes it as easy as possible for these migrants to enter the country through catch and release, and through ending the remain in mexico policy. All these migrants have to do is claim asylum, and lo and behold the American taxpayer must now house them, clothe them and feed them until they receive a court date five years from now.

He certainly seems to have an agenda.

And it doesn't appear to be a pro-american agenda.

And why is Mayorkas denying Robert F. Kennedy jr. secret service protection?

Totally agree. It’s despicable that bribery Biden denies protection for RFK Jr

Alan- I have to disagree. Mayorkas isn't just merely not doing his job. He is turning the law 180 degrees on edge and not only not enforcing immigration law he is enabling and ordering the violation of it. Thats a crime. He needs to go.

Mayorkas lied to Congress and the People and failed to defend the nation and to faithfully discharge his duties. Trump was impeached based on lies committed by his political opponents and once AFTER he was no longer in office.

At the end of the day Impeachment is a political process.

The two impeachments of Trump really set the stage for where we are now.

Mayorkas is a spokesman for a dysfunctional administration. For them he states the sky is green, the world is flat & the borders are secure. The impeachments are/were a perversion of the Constitution. Expect nothing less from the Capitol Hill Harlots!

Impeachment is a political process and is only honorable if there are honorable people involved.

The impeachment of Mayorkas by the Republicans is not based on policy and partisan differences. It is based on the fact that Mayorkas and Biden have deliberately planned and executed the invasion of our country by millions with the explicit purpose being to undermine the rule of law, the meaning of citizenship, national sovereignty, national security, and public safety. The Founders would be disgusted with the perpetrators, Biden and Mayorkas, not those voting for impeachment. The grounds for impeachment are broad (e.g., "high crimes and misdemeanors"), not enumerated. Impeachment is a political judgment by our elected representatives, and surely the subversive activities of Biden and Mayorkas require that they be removed from office. Of course neither of them will be, because Democrats value their party positions more than the survival of our country.

You are 100% correct. As per the Constitution criteria for impeachment: "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." Maladministration is not listed, therefore, unless one can prove the above listed criteria for impeachment, impeachment is the wrong tool for removement of Mayorkas. It will fail in the democrat controlled Senate. However, I agree 100% that Mayorkas is derelict in his duties, either by willful incompetence or by wilful purpose. This impeachment is more political theatre and retribution than anything else, and its chief purpose is to taint Mayorkas' administration in an election year. Ultimately, I think that it will achieve its main purpose by shining a bright light on the disaster on the Southern border that none can ignore.
