does the court of public opinion exist? yes. is it fair and just? never- and neither is life. a fairly achieved public image is not a right; there is no judge arbitrate objections. if a person is found to be innocent (by the judicial system, not the media), they have recourse.

if one values their public perception, one should cultivate awareness as to how their actions (legal or not) may be perceived/misconstrued.

so long as he’s not being denied his legal rights, this appeal to the media/public is self-indulgent window-dressing.

The media is the enemy. They lie constantly. In your case, if the court struck the original accusation, then what are you being sued for? I’m not a lawyer and I know nothing about the law but from my uneducated perspective it appears that her lawyer is running the show and it’s all about extracting as much money as possible.

The British Royal Family is very careful about even the appearance of impropriety . Think of Edward VII before WW2, a Nazi sympathizer who was an embarrassment to the House of Windsor. Even if Andrew is found legally innocent, his public image, as is that of Bill Clinton, is awful
