And the name the 'Nationalist Socialist Party' was not intended to dupe anyone. Hitler was a socialist. He was not a free market capitalist. He wanted to centralize investment into the hands of a single actor, then use that actor to subsidize private sectors. There is another form of cultural statism: i.e, regulation that keeps women out of certain professions or regulating what kind of sex you can have in your bedroom. This has often been wrongly associated with the 'right'. Cultural statism can come from both sides of the aisle.

These people will continue their coercive policy of distribution, subsidizing companies, centralizing investment until they capture the means of production. Until, for example, they control entire industries like Health care. What kind of health you can get, and the quality of that health is then determined by an apparatchik.

We also see it when government subsidizes certain industries. One example: although there are many, is Biden's recent EV subsidy which he claims was to subsidize the poor (really a backroom deal for his donors) and which he sent to none other than Marthas Vineyard, not exactly the poorest place in the nation. This can be weaponized in other ways too: for example, economic zones which allow some companies to play by different sets of rules. When a company plays by a different set of rules then it naturally gains a market advantage; mom and pop stores go out of business, and monopolies and oligopolies begin to form. Such behemoths then can partner with government (public/private partnerships) which further centralizes industry and goverment, which in turn leads to totalitarianism. There is a philosophical darkness that has befallen our nation. It teaches hatred & intolerance. When a people are dehumanized it becomes easy to commit murder, torture, rape & extermination. Humanity doesn't change & history repeats itself. I believe that our Republic is in serious trouble. A nation that tolerates, excuses felonius behavior, that permits its citizens to go homeless, that allows 100,000 to die each year from fentanyl, that refuses to secure its border, where serving in the military is disparaged & where Justice is nothing more than a word, may be doomed.
